The longer you are on a specific dose is better to truly stabilize thyroid. If you feel terrible on that dose could you begin to feel better after the said six week point for testing bloods and increase or decrease of dose. Thus not needing change in dose at all.I think looking back that has what has happened to me ,too many dose changes that my thyroid is completely out of whack. The thing is how to get through feeling awful till things stabilse.

I agree. Riding out the dose changes whilst feeling horrific is an absolute mare. My close friends think it is weird that I get so excited about doing blood tests - at least it means I can finally change something and see proof that it isn’t all in my head!
i agree too x
I feel like a zombie most of the time and sadly my blood test never change enough to warrant a change in thyroid meds (I'm thyroid-less) so Im not sure if this is the reason my thyroid labs never change…. But It definitely is frustrating and if I tell my Endo all he/she does is rearrange my dose to be exactly like it was before and last time I had to ask him do you think I’m stupid and don’t see your adjustment of my meds is the same? Crickets…. Endo really do think we are stupid!
When I moved up to 100mcg Levo I complained on here that I’d been on it for 12 weeks and didn’t feel any different to being on 50mcg or to being on nothing at all, despite my FT4 going from below range to over range and FT3 reaching high in range. As soon as I said this two symptoms did resolve themselves: hives on my hands cleared up, no longer itchy, and my left eye has stopped watering all the time. I was really surprised I had to be on this dose for over 12 weeks to see any changes.
