Can bloods be different if I’m taking this? Had a thyroid test 5 weeks after starting medication and forgot to tell specialist. Wondering if this would change things!😱

SSRIs of which setraline is one, are designed to affect serotonin levels. Serotonin is linked to the gut and brain. Affecting serotonin levels can affect gut function which in turn affects absorption of thyroid meds. In short some folks on SSRIs find that they need a little more thyroid meds than they would otherwise. So it may be that your hormone levels are slightly lower than normal.
