Thank you all for the great advice on vitamins and diets to try to improve my thyroid function!
I have now had my recent blood tests back and have again been told that it just now needs monitoring every 6 months, this has been the case for the last 2 years .
my research from the results it looks as if I may be subclinical hypothyroidism and I am thinking it may be time to ask for a scan on my simple thyroid goitre, (not had a scan for 8/9 years. I am also considering asking to see a endocrinologist?
I’m just wondering if anyone has had similar results
I lack energy, have many of the typical symptoms, my body seems to have mild tremors at times and my voice a little husky too.
Any advice would be welcome, I have asked for a phone consultation with my GP.
Best regards to everyone

Hi SeasideSusie,So kin of you to response from what I can see from my medical records the only tests were what I posted. The last test show this in April but it doesn’t look like it was repeated?
Yes, that's Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies and yours are low.
There are also Thyroglobulin (Tg) antibodies.
Raised TPO antibodies suggest Hashimoto's (underactive), raised Tg antibodies can suggest Hashimoto's but can be raised due to other reasons. It's also possible to have Hashi's without any raised antibodies.
To confirm Graves Disease (overactive thyroid) there are TSI (Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin) and TRAb ( TSH Receptor antibodies).
my research from the results it looks as if I may be subclinical hypothyroidism
Subclinical hypothyroidism would have an over range TSH and a low FT4.
Your results lean more towards overactive at the moment with a suppressed TSH and FT3 very close to the top of the range. But it's a strange set of results because your FT4 is only 60% through range compared to your FT3 at 91% through range, one would expect both to be high with a suppressed TSH like yours.
There's a possility that it could be Hashi's and that you are heading towards or coming out of a "false hyper" phase. The fact that you have a goitre and the symptoms you mention lean more towards this.
Wow, you are incredibly knowledgable, I’m finding it hard to get my head around Thyroid problems particularly as symptoms come and go, I seem to catch things very easily and are allergic to so many things now, also with having wt macular in both eyes it’s a case of trying to live as healthily an independent as possible. What is your advice on my next move? Do I wait the 6 months again or ask to see a Endocrinologist?
I really appreciate your support.
Would like to know how you are doing as your profile shows a long history of health problems, hopefully you are well now?
Whether you will get a referral to an endo on the NHS, who knows. Endos can refuse referrals if your results are within range or if they think your GP can handle your situation. Ask and see what happens. I think you should emphasise your symptoms and how it impacts your life, hopefully that will help in moving forward.
I'm not too bad, take each day as it comes. My conditions are chronic so I just live with them, there's always someone worse off!
Hi seaside susie, I thought I would let you know the outcome of my call with the GP, as you suggested my blood results would not be accepted by the Endocrinologist but we had a good talk, she played own my low 00.8 reading and said it was a little low so I corrected her.
The outcome is that I am to have. Ultra sound on my thyroid and going to be monitored in 2 months not 6. She felt the TPO. In April was fine an it is not leaning towards Graves. So it’s ongoing. Thank you again for your support.
