Doesn't sound right. Can you please post all the blood test results for thyroid. FT3, FT4 and TSH along with lab ranges. You also need results for TPO antibodies and TgAb if your doctor ordered it.

You have Hashi's don't you and are on Levo? It sounds like you are going through a very hypo episode - fluctuations being common with Hashi's - and that you need your Levo dose increased at the moment, retest after 8 weeks so that your GP can see what's happening then.

Yes wonder why knowing it was 10 he has left me with no increase in meds now and to be tested in 10 weeks

Because he's totally ignorant of how to treat a Hashi's patient, unfortunately all too common :(

How patients suffer unnecessarily when the 'supposed to be experts' are not 'expert' at all.

Thankfully those of us who have internet access are very fortunate to find a website that gives helpful comments and support. Also it can enable sufferers to have positive comments that raise their spirits and hope that they can relieve all symptoms and they feel well again.

How much levothyroxine are you currently taking

Do you always get same brand of levothyroxine?

Changed brand recently?

Essential to vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12, especially as apparently very under medicated

Are you on strictly gluten free diet?

Yes been gluten free for 5 years . I take 150mg .. might order own blood test for vit D folate and the rest as Dr won’t do these .

Do you always get same brand of levothyroxine

Which brand?

To have such high TSH suggests malabsorption issues and/or low vitamin levels

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Test as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

If just testing TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 then monitor My Health is cheapest at £26.10 (if use code from Thyroid U.K. website)

If testing thyroid and vitamins Medichecks, Blue Horizon or Thriva

Yes same brand as always check that .. no vitamin supplements except vit c I try and eat through food as not good with most vitamin tablets .. I will order blood tests as Drs don’t care ., thanks for all the info much appreciated.
