Has anyone tried castor oil to shrink nodules?

I have subclinical hyperthyroidism and a goitre with nodules ,I have been using castor oil topically to shrink my thyroid/nodules and haven't noticed any changes yet,though I have only been using it for a few months a few times a week.

Has anyone tried this home remedy to shrink nodules/goitre with success? if so how long did it take to show some effect?

As in castor oil packs? I have, but only a few times, Mainly as an excuse to relax, while I also do a warm pack on my eyes (without the oil on my eyes), I didn’t expect it to have any affect on my nodule and it didn’t. The skin was moisturised though.

I have been taking it boswellia which is believed to be an anti inflammatory remedy. There is a theory and some research suggesting is can reduce nodules, but nothing scientific. I’ve not noticed any reduction to nodule size. I’m due a blood test so I don’t know if there’s any change in my levels as I have hyper levels without carbimazole.

The skin cannot absorb castor oil, but if you use it as a massage medium is could help by making you feel better. I doubt it can actually help the nodules though. Getting your dose right, and your vitamins spot on is about the only thing that will help, I am afraid.
