armour Thyroid - palpitations

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone else has heart issues ok armour.

I’m on this medication a couple of months now with some quite positive results, however I have experienced what I wld call ‘heart flutters’ at times. Yesterday these were more palpitations and lasted most of the day and it was difficult to get to sleep. Also made me feel a bit sick and overall not a pleasant feeling! Anyone else experience this?

Haven’t had my bloods done in any 6 wks - see previous posts.

Just thought wld add my most recent bloods - only on 1/4 grain armour and attending acupuncture weekly.

TSH - 13.9 (0.27 - 4.2)

FT4 8.2 (12-22)

FT3 4.7 (3.1 -6.8)

Hey, I'm on armour too, are you only taking 1/4 grain still?

Yes- I’m using acupuncture too and my symptoms have dramatically improved since diagnosis and small dose of armour. My ‘numbers’ seem to come into range quite quickly on small dose .. I need to get them checked again soon. I’ve jst had acupuncture yesterday and the palpitations Hv mostly disappeared but will see how the week goes..

Hi, Just curious to know how you are feeling now on the Armour- I have some arrived today

I had to come off it - but tbh u don’t think it was armour- jst I can’t seem to tolerate anything- awaiting a consultant review!

Yes it happened to me and had to lower my dose

I’m on such a small dose.. maybe I will get bloods done and it will give indication . Are u happily maintained on the smaller dose now?
