Time it takes to have a lower TSH and feel better

Hi guys hopefully I am slowly getting well fingers crossed. Now when I started to feel ill it was on 22/04/2021. I had my blood work on 04/05/2021 where it showed the following

Coded entry - Serum TSH level (XaELV) 8.3 miu/L [0.3 - 5]Coded entry - Serum free T4 level (XaERr) 17 pmol/L [9 - 25]

Now I assume when I started to feel unwell it must have been around this level as well. When I had my my last blood test In September it was 5.2. However I didn't realise I had a problem as I still felt fine.

I started 125mcg on 08/05/2021 today is my 7th dose. I have been waking up way earlier than my breakfast so I get maximum absorption today I took my dose at 2am as I woke up to go toilet so I thought sod it ill take it out of the way so it can get working.

How long do you guys reckon it will take where my TSH is around 5 or below so I start feeling on top form again.

I know you have to be patient but in this case it wasn't my fault as my Dr neglected me last year.

TSH is slow to respond, typically 3-6 weeks

Ft4 will increase quite quickly

If vitamins are low, it can take a while for conversion to improve of Ft4 (levothyroxine) to Ft3 (active hormone)

One of Thyroiduk's Advisor - also an expert in the use of T3 - took his dose when he awoke during the night so that nothing (food etc) could interfere with the uptake of his T3.

One of Thyroiduk's Advisers (now deceased due to an accident" ) also took his thyroid hormones in the middle of the night when he awoke so he ensured that nothing could interfere with hormones uptake.

Medical professionals I believe are the last to know or guess that a patient has a dysfunctional thyroid gland (from my own personal experience) and that's where the internet comes in as we can ask others who've the same condition and you'll probably get more sense from them than 'non-sense' from those you expect to know more than those who have no degrees.
