Skin condition

Hi all, my daughter suffers with this skin condition at the top of her arms, thighs and abit at the top of her back. I've heard before that it's a thyroid thing but never any solutions or advice of what to use on it. She says it's itchier than ever before now.

Hope you've all had a lovely bank holiday weekend! ❤

It's keratosis Polaris. I've always had it, since childhood. Apparently it's linked to vitamin deficiencies (vitamin A is one of them, I think)

I think my son has keratosis pilaris. If I remember rightly (no guarantee these days, LOL) I think it can be indicative of Vit B2 deficiency as well.

Dear Vanessa09 , I've suffered from many skin conditions in my childhood into adulthood. Not long after learning I have hashimotos I learned of the gluten ( often mostly wheat) and dairy as bad for us. I eliminated both & my skin woes are no more. Perhaps an elimination diet of 21 days would help . Best to you & your daughter 🤗

I had this at the back of my arms at the top. It appeared a couple of years prior to diagnosis and went away completely when I went on thyroid medication. x

I had this I have an under active thyroid and once I stopped eating gluten it went away. My sister had it also no thyroid problems she stopped eating gluten and it went for her also. Worth a try....
