I would be grateful for some information regarding the rules about stopping supplements/meds before a blood test. I am aware of some but I don't think I am 100% on this.

Many thanks

Biotin or B Complex - stop 7 days before any blood test.

Iron - if any iron test (including ferritin) is being done then stop iron 7 days before test, no high iron food like liver in few days before test. Iron tests should be done after a 12 hour fast (water allowed) so best done early morning.

B12 - if you want a baseline to see what you are holding onto then be off B12 supplement for 4-5 months before test. If taking B12 and want to know what result it's giving you then continue but take after the test on the day.

Vit D - take after the test on the day.

Anything else take after the test on the day.
