Botox /fillers with autoimmune disease

Hi All,

I had Cosmetic Botox for the first time a week ago, all has been fine and I’m happy with the results. However, I’ve been looking into having fillers and one on Doctors website he says he won’t do fillers or botox on anyone with Graves or Hashimoto’s because the autoimmune disease could cause complications.

I get this, but I’m wondering if anyone has had both Botox and fillers whilst suffering with either of these and been fine or have you had a reaction.

By the way, I have Graves’ disease, thyroid removed 20yrs ago. Also have one other autoimmune disease.

I have been taking a regular antihistamine for hay fever so maybe this stopped any reactions to the Botox I had?

Really interested to hear on your thoughts or experiences. Thanks in advance

I have been having botox for spasms for years, before I had Hashi's. The only thing now is that they had to drop the dose as it was causing temporary paralysis.
