Hi fellow members, looking for some advice , am due a blood test soon - first for two years and feel I need to have vitamins, cholesterol, iron checked as feeling very fatigued. No idea if I have Hashimoto's and unsure what to ask for to be checked, also will the NHS do these tests?
Thank you.

I really don't think you need cholesterol tested. If you are under-medicated, it will be high, and your doctor will want you to take statins, which are not a good idea. High cholesterol is linked to low T3, so to bring it down, you need to raise your T3. But, doctors don't understand that. High cholesterol does not cause symptoms, anyway.
What you can get tested often depends on the good will of the doctor you ask. But, good idea to at least ask for ferritin/iron, vit D, vit B12, folate and TPO antibodies.
Thanks very much greygoose, I'll certainly ask for those tests. As for statins, been taking them for 18 yrs, time to stop after reading about them here!
