Medichecks saliva test

I was about to order a cortisol saliva test from Medichecks and notice it is not on the list of tests any more, only the morning blood test. I have used Medichecks for a couple of years with no problems.

Getting health care in this country is getting worse and worse. What are my alternatives.

The Medichecks saliva test isn't all that useful. It only tests cortisol and it's recommended to test both cortisol plus DHEA. It also has zero as the bottom of the range for some of them which is ridiculous. Ranges are based on healthy people, if anyone did actually have a level or zero they'd be either very poorly in the the morgue.

Best tests which do cortisol plus DHEA and have proper ranges are either

I use Regenerus because they email you direct when results are ready. Genova send them ThyroidUK who only release them when you've filled in the consent form.

This test has been stopped whilst the lab they usually use for it have had their UKAS accreditation suspended. The other lab they use don't offer this test
