Coming off Liothyronine

Hello, I have been on Liothyronine for a few month now and cannot get past 40mcg. I have tried addressing this by making sure all other blood levels are good but I really can't stand the anxiety, pumping pounding heart and head and not feeling any better in the least. For now I would like to wean of it but am not seeing the private practitioner that prescribed it to find out how to do that as I can no longer afford to see him. Any advice on the best way to do this please?

Can I ask why you want to get past 40 mcg? What was your last FT3 level like? Are you on T3 only?

Because Im not quite optimal. I think Ft3 should be in Upper third of range. Yes I am on T3 only. Here are my results

Optimal is not a number. It's the way you feel. Which is why we increase very slowly so as not to miss our sweet-spot.

But, considering your dose, your FT3 is rather low. How do you take your T3? Do you take it on an empty stomach, away from food and other medications/supplements, just like you would levo? How long did you leave between your last dose of T3 and the blood draw?

So, the question remains: why do you want to wean yourself off it? Judging by your FT4 level, you don't have much activity from your own thyroid. So, you need some sort of exogenous hormone. What were you planning to replace it with?

Thank you. Yes, I take it away from other meds and food. Split 3 times a day. I took my last dose at 5pm and tested the next morning before breakfast and before taking any in the morning. I have been increasing very slowly for months. I feel very poorly and wiped out still. Awake at 8 30am and crashed by 10 30 am. It hasnt helped me in the slightest. I'm jittery, anxious and my heart keeps going to fast and pounding, this is why I can't raise and aim for optimal. Here are my results prior to starting. As you can see free t3 has come up a bit now and free T4 has gone from only just scraped in range down to next to nothing which I understand can happen when on T3 only
