These are my results on 125ug T4 and 12.5ug T3 taken once in the morning. Of course doctors always tell me my TSH is too low and I should reduce my thyroid meds. I have M.E. I was hoping getting my thyroid optimal would help but I don’t feel at all well. I had some better moments and more muscle strength but lately got a lot worse again. My eyebrows have almost fallen out. At least my hairloss stopped. Initially I lost weight and now I’m looking puffy again. Weak. Feeling awful. I was planning to add another 12.5ug T3 in the afternoon (starting with 6.25 initially). Not sure if I should now, given my FT3 is ok. I am actually really surprised a single morning dose produced this result given short half life of T3. I must add that before I added T3, I was on 125 T4 only and my FT3 was bottom of the range. I am also surprised because I wasn’t storing my T3 correctly and cutting it in a week or more advance and yet my FT3 is high. Looks like improper storage did not hinder efficacy in this instance, unless I’d be even higher.. I am waiting for my RT3 results out of curiosity. I am not deficient in any vits or minerals (I supplement all anyway). Not entirely sure where to go from here in terms of thyroid. Of course, chances are, nothing I do will help because there is no cure for ME. I was just hoping to get a little more functional.

Latest thyroid results. Still very unwell. Comments welcome
Thank you. I thought that’s optimal tho I haven’t done the calculation to see if it’s top third. Just looked that way at first glance. I did the test at 8am on Monday and the last meds I took were at 8am on Sunday so about 24hrs.
perhaps try taking 6.25mcg T3 three times day at equal 8 hour intervals ..rather than 12.5mcg in morning
7am, 3pm and 11pm approx
Perhaps change the 12.5mcg to 2 doses first ....7am and 5pm
Then in 2-3 weeks change 5pm dose to 3pm and add extra 6.25mcg at bedtime
When you test
Last 1/3rd of daily dose T3 should be 8-12 hours before test (not 24 hours)
Could you tell me what difference this dosing regiment would make? I struggle with fatigue and brain fog so it’s so much easier to take it once. Also easier to cut tablets into halves rather than quarters. Three times won’t be possible for me as I have to be asleep by that time and I cannot interfere with my sleep or I won’t sleep. At other times I have hypersomnia so I might be asleep for 10 or 12 hours. Makes sticking to time impossible. Unless I do three smaller intervals. Won’t evening dose keep me awake?
Oh dear, I didn’t know about time from dose. I thought it would be false high if taken too close like T4. So my T3 is likely even higher and I might be overmedicated?
Like Hidden (and many other members on T3) I find small dose T3 at bedtime significantly improves sleep
But not everyone does. Trial and error what suits each person
Personally I can ONLY tolerate T3 as 3 doses per day.
Cutting T3 into 1/4’s using sharp craft scalpel is pretty accurate
Use damp finger to mop up any crumbs
Perhaps change dose now to 2 x 6.25mcg.....waking and late afternoon
Retesting levels in 2-3 weeks via Monitor My Health (£26.10 if order via Thyroid U.K.)
Day before test taking last 6.25mcg dose T3 at 8pm if testing 8am
Doesn’t it mean that my T3 in reality is even higher than here?
So in reality I might be overmedicated..
