Have recently had my dose up’d from 75 to 100. I was on 75 teva for 6/7 weeks & was feeling really good but on week 6 the numbness/tingling/pain in fingers & toes came back suddenly & my gp started me on 100, but this time it’s Accord.
Within a week my hair started shedding a lot more than it has been and eyebrows falling out.
So I’m confused as to whether this is because the higher dose is to much or could it be the change in brand?! would I see such a change in only one week. In myself I still feel ok.
All bloods for vits/iron etc done a few weeks ago were good apart from Vit D which I’m now taking supplements for.

I think if the brand doesn’t suit you, you will probably know quite quickly. People tend to say it takes a few weeks to respond to a change in dosage, but in my experience the only time I did feel different on a dose increase it was the first five days - better sleep and better energy - shame it only lasted 5 days and didn’t happen with the next increase!
So, yes, I think you can feel different on a new dose, but also on change of brand.
As you’re feeling bad effects more likely to be the brand?
I don’t know if this helps, but every time I have had any change to my medication dose, I start shedding hair almost immediately. It seems to last a few weeks and then settles as, I guess, my body adapts to the change 🤷🏻♀️
That’s the thing I have felt “well” on both doses. It’s just the sudden extra hair loss that’s making me think the dose is to high for me or the brand doesn’t agree with me 🤷🏼♀️😫 I’ve been really fortunate as my symptoms have only ever been hair loss and numbness in toes, I read on here how some people suffer with many other symptoms & that makes me feel awful complaining because mine problems are seem so minor but it really effects my confidence ☹️
Thanks for replying. Do you think an iron supplement would help then for the low tibc/uibc? Do you think the increased hair loss suddenly within a week would be because of the higher dose or possibly the change of brand? I really don’t know if I should go back to 75 or see how I continue go on 100.
