Hi Everyone! :)

I thought we could inspire each other to reach our big and small health goals- not necessarily related to Hashi!

1.I'm finally at my ideal weight so maintaining that is my goal number 1

2.My sleep has suffered horribly so improving that is strong runner up!

Trying different techniques - including breathing exercises, supplements, blue filter glasses

3. Self- care- spending time daily looking after myself - exercise when I'm not too knackered, journalling, walking etc

Tell me yours!

I started 30 days yoga journey after xmass. I finished and started another round. So been doing yoga everyday for almost 2 months now and the body is changing nicely. My biceps are visible now. Also I do weight training few times per week and want to upgrade my 26 pounds kettlebell to 35 pounds. And been walking for one hour every day. Hoping to lose 30 pounds this year. And need to find a way to stop my heavy periods and finally finally raise my iron levels. And most important to learn to meditate as I find it highly beneficial and very boring at the same time. And knowing my optimal dose of thyroid meds wouldn't go a miss but I have given up on that for now and Im focusing on getting fit and lean. Fingers crossed☺

Sounds awesome! I love my kettlebells too, but after taking a bit of a break from more intense exercise I need to build my strength before I get back into it. Weight training in general is SO good for metabolism and bone density! I'm not naturally 'spiritual' so meditation does feel a bit odd for me also- hence why I focus on different breathing techniques - highly recommend Wim Hoff and Buteyko exercises!

I'm practicing qi gong daily, even if its only for 10mins. It helps me relax, worry a bit less and I sleep a bit better.

I'd love to lose the extra weight I've put on! Recently got a fitbit, so I hope this might help.

ahhh I looked into qi dong recently, looks very interesting! What exercises do you do? I found a few cool channels on YouTube..

I love it, I follow qi gong for vitality... I love wild goose spreads wings and playing with water and swimming dragon! I just put it on the telly and follow along. By no means an expert but I find sitting meditation too challenging... I used to be such a busy active person, im aiming to make peace with my body.

I managed to lose 4st over a period of about a year and kept it off. This is all down to finally getting T3 medication privately. I’m now energised every day with an odd couple of times of blips, which is now sorted. My aim is to continue to keep myself well and fit. I walk 10k steps briskly each day, even in the rain at times. I do dance exercise a few evenings a week. I called it my disco dinners, I love to dance and love music, so that’s brilliant for me for good mental health too during lockdown. I’m also focusing on landscaping my large garden this spring and getting a new kitchen fitted. I’m really looking forward to the coming year and hope to keep dodging covid. Stay healthy, stay fit and stay positive! Xx

omg, well done - that's an amazing progress! I love the dance dinners idea - a bit of boogie can definitely make a day! xx

We all do what we can! And sometimes a walk around the park is exactly what's needed!

Oh my, thank you for asking, as I feel like I’m losing focus... Dose change purgatory.

1. Finally, finally get my goddam thyroid meds right and then...

2. Get my fitness back, first with barbell squats and yoga and second, when those do their work, get running again... I miss running a lot and now realise that inadequate medication had a lot to do with my darned running injuries never repairing, despite lots of physio.

3. Do something about the dire way that thyroid patients are treated in the UK... I’m kinda on this one in terms of harassing MP, but when I finally have more focus and energy I want to go after it big time and have a few ideas...

4. Get a job.

I definitely want to leave 4 until I am up and running with 2 and 3, which won’t get going until I’m closer to the mark on 1. Given that funds are finite, I feel I’m in a race against time. But I realise that the system kept me unnecessarily unwell for 3+ years and I feel as if I MUST make meaning from that by making sure it happens to as few people as possible in the future, to move from victim to advocate. The challenge is working out what gifts, if any, I have to bring to bear on things...

Thanks for posting the question. I feel a SWOT analysis coming on after lunch, so it is as if you have given me permission to boot myself up the jacksee!
