So ive finally after years had my thyroid checked while getting a testosterone blood panel. my Testosterone was normal but my LH (leutenizing hormone) was high
> LH = 3.4 range (>0.1)
>TSH = over 200 range (0.3 - 5.0)
>T4 = 4.2 range (12.0 - 22)
>T3= 2.28 range (3.1 - 6.8)
Symptoms: severe brain fog, apathy, tiredness, difficulty losing weight, very thirsty/waking up with dry mouth, difficulty going to sleep and waking up, poor temperature regulation.
Im waiting on anti-body tests but I've concluded its probably a pituitary problem due to the high LH at the same time. i have been prescribed 50mg of T4 and before anyone asks i haven't had a head injury.
I was wondering if anyone has a similar experience with similar levels and knows what steps to take next?

Wow, you must feel rotten! Have a good read of the NICE guidelines it will give you lots of info and have a good look round here. Do insist on tests at least every six weeks to bring your levels down/up and improve your symptoms. There is even the possibility in the Guidelines fir you to start on 1.6 mcg Levo per kg body weight... I'm just thinking you're going to need a few increases before you start feeling better, but you will feel better!
i dont feel that rotten its possibly because ive had it a long time i used keto to alleviate it a bit it seems that it eliminates a lot of inflammatory foods associated with hypothyroidism. im due another test in 5 weeks to see if the T4 is helping the dr didn't actually check my T3 but my private tests did same as LH
