Can you please add the reference ranges for your results so that we can interpret them, range vary from lab to lab.

Do you have any diagnosed medical conditions?

Do you take any medication?

Every blood test comes with a reference range, the result has to fall within that reference range to be classed as normal, outside of the reference range - whether that be below or above the range - is classed as abnormal. It's by seeing where your result lies in relation to the range that diagnosis is made and where we can see whether there are any problems.

On a print out from your GP surgery, or possibly if you have online access, the reference range should be somewhere. You can see what I mean by looking at the print of results in this post:

Thriva use County Pathology to process their tests, it is an accredited lab just like NHS labs, and many members use them or Medichecks or Blue Horizon, they all tend to use County Pathology.

Restless legs often linked to low vitamin D and low magnesium

When was vitamin D last tested?

Magnesium deficiency is common problem

What’s your diet like?

Are you vegetarian, vegan or gluten or grain free?

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

List of private testing options

Medichecks Thyroid plus antibodies and vitamins

Thriva Thyroid plus antibodies and vitamins By DIY fingerpick test

Thriva also offer just vitamin testing

Blue Horizon Thyroid Premium Gold includes antibodies, cortisol and vitamins by DIY fingerprick test

If you can get GP to test vitamins and antibodies then cheapest option for just TSH, FT4 and FT3

£29 (via NHS private service ) and 10% off down to £26.10 if go on thyroid uk for code

Also vitamin D available as separate test via MMH

Or alternative Vitamin D NHS postal kit
