Straight switch 2.5 grains, but I am really struggling with a racing mind and generally not being able to switch off. It's really unsettled and causing some anxiety as it's 3am and I have to work tomorrow.
My body is exhausted however and really achy.
Am I overmedicated with the switch and need to reduce dose and build up again slowly?
Thanks

Hey mb008. Not an expert on Thai NDT, but heard reports that it could be weaker than other NDTs. If you want you can try to reduce by 1/8 and see what happens? This sounds like overmedication to me. I'm not sleeping either, after 3 am now, insomnia tremors diarrhoea, so yeah , no fun for us! My ft3 is high in range. Was this a straight switch? Another thought, sometimes you may be getting fluctuations as you still may have some residual leftover of the old meds and already building up new.
I have been like this since doctors messed up my meds back in 2017. Before that I used to sleep soundly for 33 years.. it has improved in the meantime a bit, to the point I was ready to start the new job. The only change in bloods was that my ft4 plummeted on Armour to 20-30% of range, it was 80%, then 50% within couple of months on the same dose. Also, my ft3 is 80% 24 hours after my dose. Not sure what's causing what at this point. I am starting a new job in a few weeks after a year of break and I'm not looking forward to feeling like this working. Riding it out is probably the best option for you now, I agree. Fingers crossed, I hope we will both get there..could I ask you, where is your ft3 ft4 when you feel on NDT?
You say you did a 'straight switch' did you literally finish TS and move immediately onto Erfa? Why did you stop the TS?
I imagine switching from one form of Ndt to another can have similar effects as changing from one brand of Levo to another. In the latter case I felt terribly ill when forced to do a straight switch which I would never have believed until I did it. It's assumed you can switch between ndts easily but from reading comments from people online it appears to often not to be the case.
Maybe cut back your dose for a bit as you say and work up. Otherwise it could just be Erfa doesn't agree with you and you need to try an alternative.
It's always good to do tests of hormone levels to set a baseline before switching to a new ndt then again after a few weeks of trialing the new - that's if you can.
