Has anyone experienced ear noise at night after starting T3? It seems to start after I have been laying down for 2 to 3 hours. Its like a whoosh or a hum just in the left ear. It's only started after taking T3. I literally had to sleep sitting up last night as its not so bad if I do, just can't get any sleep. Very angry, tired and frustrated now 😔 (vit d does also cause me noise in the ear, maybe I'm just weird)

T3 and ear noise
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
When were B12, folate, ferritin and vitamin D last tested
Tinnitus is frequently low B vitamins
I do need to get my vitamins tested again because my B12 was low but can't afford it right now as drs won't do it as last time they done it was a couple of months ago and obviously they said my levels were fine, but its so weird that it only happens when I take vit d and now T3 and its only in my left ear.
When you take vitamin D it increases your need for B vitamins
If you know you are low on B vitamins suggest you supplement. B vitamins are water soluble, so we just pee out excess
supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid) may be beneficial.
This can help keep all B vitamins in balance and will help improve B12 levels too

Many Hashimoto’s patients have MTHFR gene variation and can have trouble processing folic acid.

B vitamins best taken after breakfast
Igennus Super B is good quality and cheap vitamin B complex. Contains folate. Full dose is two tablets per day. Many/most people may only need one tablet per day. Certainly only start on one per day (or even half tablet per day for first couple of weeks)
Or Thorne Basic B is another option that contain folate, but is large capsule
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results

Low B12 symptoms
b12deficiency.info/signs-an...
If serum B12 result was under 500 then taking a B12 supplement as well as a B Complex (to balance all the B vitamins) initially for first 2-4 months may be beneficial,
once your serum B12 is over 500 (or Active B12 level has reached 70), stop the B12 and just carry on with the B Complex.

i did last night and anxiety too...after 3 days on t3- 5 mcg, 75 mcg t4
Its awful isn't it. But T3 makes me feel so much better mentally. Just don't know what to do.
i will wait 2 weeks to see what happens...what is your dose now? and before adding t3?
I was trying to introduce t3 slowly as I find it quite strong so am only on 2.5 mcg of t3 and 125mcg of levo. My endo surprisingly called earlier today and said to drop my levo to 75 and up t3 to 10mcg twice a day. Thought that sounded like a drastic change all at once??
I would have expected your Levothyroxine to be reduced when introducing Liothyronine, so you could be over-medicated. I was on 100 mcg T4. Now I took 75 mcg T4 plus 5mcg of T3 - all in the morning. I feel dizzy, nausea and anxiety in the evening. Sometimes palpitations.
Anyway I heard that the simptoms disaper in 2 weeks...will see
This happened to me. When I got my first set of results after starting T3 I could see that my FT4 had lowered considerably. I am on both T3 and levothyroxine. The problem was totally resolved when I added just a small daily extra amount of levo 12.5mcg.
I take T3 alone but haven't had any ear problems. Not knowing what's causing this will make you anxious and I hope you resolve it soon.
