Are you in the U.K.
Or which country
You need vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested
What medication are you prescribed
Yes, they can, normally if they are constant, it means you might be hyperthyroid or severely overdosing on thyroxine or liothyronine. I had that 4 years ago, continuosly shaking, palpitations, slept 3 hours a night, barely. How elevated is your ft3? Edit: have read your other posts. I am not an expert on hyperthyroidism, but ask the doctor on your appointment about possible increases of carbi and propranolol. From what I understand starting dose of propranolol for hyperthyroidism is 20, you take 15 split into 3 doses. Also, propranolol can go up to 160 if it's really bad, but the doctor should be able to advise. What helped me was eating drinking water frequently, resting, less stress, breathing techniques and gentle yoga if you are not bedbound. It is a horrible feeling to be wired tired and shaking anxious, but this will go away!
Thanks for giving me enough details. Had your palpitation continuing throughout even at rest. My case is pounding of heart in my chest constantly. Having normal beats but harder
Yes, that's why I slept 3 hours a night. You need to go to the doctor asap. I think you have an appontment, right?
Yea. I hve an appointment 15 of this month. So letme ask how is you palpitation please . Do they go aaay after same time
Well I was overdosed with thyroid medication so once medication was reduced they went away. I never really had hyperthyroidism, I am hypothyroid.
Yea i can understand ur case. Mine is hyperthyroid but expriences fluttering of heart from my chest even on medication propranolol. Have you anyone same case with me
Kaskey, you seem very anxious because of your hyperthyroidism. Many people have similar symptoms to you when hyperthyroid, you are being treated, but your ft3 is still high. You need to go to a endocrinologist on the 15th of January and talk to them about possibly increasing your carbi and propranolol. Also, they will need to explain what is causing this for you.
Palpitations can be felt when hyperthyroid. But they can also be felt when people have low iron and/or ferritin (iron stores), and that can be a common problem in people who are hypothyroid.
I got palpitations and tachycardia (fast heart rate) when I was low in iron and ferritin.
Improving my iron/ferritin levels reduced the number of episodes of tachycardia and reduced the severity too.
Low levels of some other nutrients can also trigger problems with the heart, for example low Vitamin B12 and low folate. I haven't investigated any others (at least not recently).
My hp is 17. Idont think if its iron defeciency
What is HP 17. What results is it for (& always include the lab range with a test result, ranges vary between labs)
It is haptoglobin. If it's as low as 17 it means red blood cells are being destroyed faster than they are being created. Studies says it is characteristic for hyperthyroidism/Graves.
Hp is haptoglobin. Or do you mean Hb, Haemoglobin? Low haptoglobin could be a result of hyperthyroidism. Your red cells get destroyed faster than they are created. If thid is haemoglobin, then it is fine or even elevated, depending on range..I had it high with an overdose.
Yea. My Hp is normal. I hope there other condition which is causing it
I'm sorry, but I have no idea what Hp is.
Haemoglobin is often referred to in medical records as Hb. Could you have misheard?

Another point...
If it is your Hb that is 17 then it would indicate that you are not anaemic (assuming the units of measurement are the standard ones used in the UK). However it is possible to have iron deficiency without being anaemic. See this link :

But this could all be a red herring, because we can't make any sensible suggestions until we have some results to work from.
