So I received a phone call appointment with an Endo who noted my palpatation problems and high TPO but of course was as usless as expected only explaining that this is a non issue at the moment and that I should only receieve thyroid TSH testing every six months and that my chance of developing autoimmunity is higher than the average population but that it is not a gurantee, especially considering that I have no know family history of it.
Of course all of this is complete non-sense and he's just another person who has no business being responsible for this kind of patient.
Any, little rant/ramble over, I did get offered a thyroid scan and was wondering how much information or if it would show any indiciation of autoimmunity at all and how useful this kind of procedure is?

Are you experiencing heart palpitations? For this I have found a hand held portable EKG ($100 USD) helpful to differentiate atrial fibrillation (associated with too much thyroid medicine) from skipped beats (associated with too little thyroid medicine.)
