"If the specimen you are returning is less than 50ml of liquid then you can return your specimen via the Royal Mail. Visit your local post office and request “Special Delivery by 1 pm”. This is a next working day delivery and will ensure your package is traceable to ensure timely and safe delivery to us. Payment for this service is not included and you will need to make payment directly at the post office counter. "
Which is fine - so far I am understanding things. But then it goes on to say :
"The return shipping fee is not included within the price of your test as this is optional, some customers choose to make their own arrangements. But if you paid us directly for your laboratory test then you will be responsible for paying for your shipping.
Locate your email order confirmation which we sent to you & select the Return Shipping option. This will log you back into your account to make a payment or just log in to your account and find your last order."
And this is the part I don't understand - why would you need to do that if you can just take it to post office??? If I am taking it to the post office do I still need to do the " select the Return Shipping option" bit (above)? Similarly, if I decide to return it via Royal Mail can I use the packaging Regenerus sends me???
It isn't clear to me what I have to do [never done a Regenerus one before]. Test is due to be done on Tuesday - can anyone who has used Regenerus in the past advise me what needs to be done?? Thanks.

I have done a few Regenerus adrenal tests and all I've ever done is take it to the Post Office. Last time was a few weeks ago and returning the samples was the same as it had always been. I have never looked on their website about returning the samples, I just follow what is in the instructions that come with the kit.
This is what my order confirmation email says
When you have completed collecting your specimen test, you will need to return it directly to us, details of which are in your test collection kit. If you choose to use our shipping service, you can pay for it by using the Purchase Return Shipping / or Activate Label link on this email so keep it safe. If you lose this then just visit your account page from our website.

You are not returning it using their shipping service (the courier for which they supply a label) so ignore all that.
One of the forms you return is partly filled in by them with some parts the patient fills in. They may have put the courier fee in red ink for you to pay by whichever means. As you are not using the courier then cross it out and put "Used Royal Mail".
Similarly, if I decide to return it via Royal Mail can I use the packaging Regenerus sends me???
You pack the box as instructed. You put the box in the big blue plastic envelope they provide (I fold it over rather than leave it the huge size, so it's fairly snug over the box). You can then either write your own address label or cut off the relevant part from the courier return label but make sure you only use the return address, don't include anything that's to do with the courier. Take this to the post office, get it weighed and use the Special Delivery Next Day by 1pm service (it's actually guaranteed by 4pm at the moment due to changes due to Covid affecting deliveries, but I think they still call it 1pm).
I haven't received my kit yet [due to arrive on Friday] so I can't at the moment read what is in the box until then. However, in the meantime, thank you so much for all this helpful info SeasideSusie. I may come back to you later on on Friday once I have had a chance to look at the kit in case there is anything I'm still not sure of. But thanks a million. Really helpful!!
Still waiting for kit to arrive but have been mulling over the question of timings of the test and also taking my T3 which if you have done this test you might be able to help me with. The later in the day timings are not a problem it is just the early morning one I'm concerned about. Cortisol peaks at 8am, however I don't normally wake until 10.30 am when I take my T3. Should I set my alarm for 8am and do the first test of the day at that time? If I did that then I'd have to wait until 10.30 to take my T3 and then have something to eat an hour later [so as not to interfere with absorption].Or do I just proceed as normal - get up at 10.30 and take the first cortisol test then before taking T3?
Hi SeasideSusie I sent Regenerus an email - they didn't reply so I telephoned. The lady I spoke to said that the test is designed to analyse what is "normal" for me so she advised me not to set alarm for 8am and to just proceed to test according to my normal schedule which I have done. So I did my first test at 10.30am this morning after setting alarm for 10am. She said that if I had tested rigidly at 8am noon 6pm etc that would have shown the profile of a completely different person, so I have followed the advice she gave me. I hope this is the right thing to do and that it doesn't provide me with useless results, but this was the advice I was given.
For anyone else who is reading this the Regenerus test info also requires that you take no supplements on the day of the test. I don't know whether this also includes things like betaine hcl and digestive enzymes which I need to take to assist with digestion but in case it does I am omitting these today - no idea how I am going to manage to eat today.
