Thanks for the reply fuchsia-pink ❤️I'm posting these results for a family member she has been suffering with hyper symptoms for a number of months now and had to go on sick leave for 3 weeks, she sounds just like I did when I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (graves) she's has managed to obtain a uptake scan to be done in 10 days she is on no meds as this has just started to affect her really badly in the last number of months, her T4 looks high at 21...ranges 11.00... 22.00 her TSH is low to at 0.06...ranges 0.03..4.50..this can indicate subclinical hyperthyroidism I had this diagnosis in 2014 its in my records but I knew nothing about it, it then says this settled as my bloods went bk to normal 🤷♀️.. She is looking for answers as I said all her symptoms point to overactivity... My TSH was unditectable my T4 was 100 my T3 was 35, but I was in thyroid crisis 😠 I hope her scan sheads some light on her symptoms but for me I'm sure she's on the verge of hyperparathiyroidism ❤️
Well that makes sense - I was wondering how free T3 was so low for someone on lio I don't know much about when hyperthyroidism gets treated - TSH is just under range and, as I mentioned before free T3 is really quite low whereas my understanding was that most hypers have free T3 well over-range ...
Hopefully someone will pop up who knows more x

Hi fuchsia-pink ❤️Not really you can also have a raised T4 with low TSH... And normal T3.. When I was going through trying to get diagnosed my gp only did TSH.. Which showed 0.08...0.06...no T3, T4, when I did get T3, T4, they were slightly raised but I felt awful.. All symptoms of hyper.. 2 years on my TSH.. Was suppressed my T3 went to 24.2 my T4 went to 100 this was over a 2 year period I went in to thyroid crisis with these results 😩 also catching autoimmune thyroid conditions can be tricky as I found out I had what I called flare ups.. This is when my symptoms went off the scale obviously this is when my antibodies were attacking my thyroid dumping thyroxine in to my system.. It would have been prudent if my surgery could have done bloods on those days but in my surgery I have to wait 2 weeks for blood tests sometimes longer😠.. I eventually got diagnosed through an emergency app with a nother gp who immediately requested blood work then n their... Which showed hyperthyroidism (graves)... I nearly fainted with relief as I knew it was hyperthyroidism 👍
Crikey! What a shambles it is when these doctors are soooo obsessed with TSH and so blinkered that they don't even bother testing the other relevant things - like, you know, actual thyroid hormones!Has your family member had antibodies tested?
HiShe's says she has but said they were negative, as we're mine.. I think as slowdragon says she should have all tests again with full antibodies, you just can't go off one test alone, I hope the up take scan shows what's going on, she has a little girl as we know children can take a lot of our energy, so she's finding this hard along with work she has nearly collapsed several times 😔 she's been in bed for a couple of days with server fatigue, 😔
