Nobody can remove your private messages, neither you nor the person who sent one. The only way a PM can disappear is if someone "mutes" another member, I doubt if you have muted the member who sent you the PM and it's unlikely the member did either.

Click on the CHAT icon at the top of the page to take you to your messages, or if you still have the email notifying you of the PM then click on the link in the email which will take you to the message.
