I posted this earlier I'm due to have a short synacthen test on Tuesday 24th November the test is scheduled for 8.20 Am... I take 10mg of T3 teva lactose free split in to 2 doses one on waking one late in the afternoon, I've read posts on here some saying it was OK I mean the outcome not the test it's self, at this particular junction I couldn't care less if they used a knitting needle to inject me😢 but what I'd like to ask as anyone on here with adrenal insufficiency or Addisons had symptoms like mine, I've had this symptom since 2015 after being diagnosed with colitis, then eventually in 2018 I was diagnosed with graves disease the symptom was then attributed to graves in 2019 my whole thyroid was removed ...... Here's my best inturpritation of the symptom... If I get frightened or slightly stressed I get an immediate rush of a very painful prickly sensation which eminates from my arms down my hands and legs then goes to my head I then sweat for about 4 or 5 minutes (sweat evident on skin can wipe it off all over body) does this sound like adrenals????
Thanks ❤️❤️❤️

That sounds more like a surge of adrenaline which can cause those sensations, but adrenaline is secreted by the adrenal glands, however it also needs cortisol to balance it out so if you don't produce enough cortisol it can cause issues. I have adrenal insufficiency due to removal of a pituitary tumour so have come to it by a different way. The common symptoms of adrenal insufficiency is weight lose, although some do gain weight too. Needing to sleep a lot, low BP, feeling nauseous, maybe vomiting or diarrhoea. Dark patches in skin creases & sometimes the gums.
Hi paulineS ❤️Thanks for the reply I actually have very bad fatigue I sleep at the most annoying times, I was very nauseous yesterday, and had to go to bed, as soon as I have food I need the loo but not diarrhoea my poo has bright orange jelly in it🤢 and it smells awful.. About 2 days ago my left knee had what I can only discribed as skin welts like someone has whipped me I've had this all over my skin since 2014 but gp has never bothered even after I took pictures and showed him. My blood cortisol test was low so having the test performed on Tuesday 24th November, I hope this helps e determine what's going on
