Wow day 5 of taking tiromel T3, and already I notice a big difference, no more brain fog, no more afternoon naps, more energetic, can stay awake untill my hubby goes to bed! What an amazing difference it’s made to my life........ and I’m only taking quarter of a tablet once a day!!

Funny isn't it how so many of us do really well on what many endos dismiss as a placebo :)

Great to hear you're doing well x

Good news. Sometimes there is a bit of a rebound and in time you may need a little more. So... don't get worried if you don't feel so well in a few weeks. Not trying to worry you, just avoid unnecessary worry if the effects wear off.

Ok thank you, won’t that mean time to increase the dose?

Yes, this is what I meant when I wrote 'may need a little more'. Hopefully you will be fine but I didn't want you to become upset if you started to decline again as this can happen.

Yes I understand that, as it can happen with any “upper drug” and this in reality is what T3 is 🤷‍♀️

You might find a 1/4 tablet is not sufficient as it is roughly equal to 25mcg of levothroxine and if you start to get symptoms add another 1/4 and so on until you are symptom-free and feel well.

I will increase gradually as and when I needs too, at the mo quarter is sufficient

I found the difference between T4 (levo) and T3 (levothyroxine) miraculous and this word also describes how I felt.

Yes me too..... , I feel alive after 16yrs! It’s almost criminal that T3 is not on an open prescription for those of us that need liothyronine, I don’t for one minute believe it’s to do with costs, I believe it’s a lot deeper than that. Tenuate dospan is no longer on prescription for people that are obese, both of these drugs increase metabolic rate, their for speeding up the metabolism having an amphetamine effect. 🤷‍♀️

I wonder??? Does Big Pharma give rewards to organisations or individuals if their products are prescribed? Just a thought!

I’m on day 6 myself and yes it’s been amazing. I’m taking 5mcg a day which is really good for me and my brain is working for the first time in over 10 years. I’m amazed!

You can read about my experience on my posts.

Have you had any side effects
