HealthUnlocked are now part of a larger group of organizations, the Corrona family, and they will be working within their patient experience unit, HealthiVibe.

Does this mean better funding for TUK?

The blurb...

"Our organization is positioned to expand its expertise in gathering, analyzing, and applying deep patient insights to optimize the patient journey and bring significant value to our clients."

So in plain English they are data mining and selling it on for their own profit but telling us we will eventually benefit by what big pharmaceutical companies get out of it....... have I got that correct 🤔

Couldn't possibly say!

No. We don't get any funding for HealthUnlocked and that won't change. :-)

unfortunate choice of name considering the virus.

This worries me so much that I would like to delete all my posts and replies. How do I do this please?

It is clearly going to become data mining for the benefit of big pharma.

3. Confirm this by selecting the "Close my account" button

For mobile users:

1. Click on your profile picture in the top left corner of your screen. This should cause a menu to appear

2. Select "Settings"; this will take you to your account settings

Thank you I’ve done that.

I think there should be some indication at the top of the page and definitely when someone new signs up that all information on the forum will be shared with Corona/Healthvibe and how it may be used. I’m worried that the “alternatives” discussed here that some of us depend on may be targeted as “they” would prefer us to be on the pharmaceutical versions which so many people find don’t work for them - thus defeating the original purpose of the forum - to provide a different voice.

HighlandMo, I understand your concerns. Not sure if will help, but HU have posted some FAQs about this, which includes the following:

Will there be any changes to the HealthUnlocked privacy policy or privacy features?

The privacy of all engaging with the platform will continue to be safeguarded by the HealthUnlocked team with the utmost care.

We do not foresee changes to our privacy policy as a consequence of the acquisition, and we remain bound to comply with current privacy laws, including GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Having affirmed this, if there is any planned change, be assured a detailed communication will be provided to HealthUnlocked members, as usual.

Will it be possible to opt-out of being included in data gathering and research?

Everyone on HealthUnlocked has the option to opt-out of aggregated data collection through their account settings. You can also customise which emails you receive from us, including research opportunity emails.

Thanks for posting. How do I deleat my profile ?

Kind Regards

L.

lynmynott helvella Star13 The link you've given to the FAQs won't work if you're not an admin.

I've copied and pasted the FAQs over to Lyn's second post about this here healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Closing this thread to comments as it's confusing now :) Please see the other post instead.
