If you think you have a thyroid problem and maybe looking for a diagnosis of hypothyroidism, then you need TSH to be highest. This is around midnight then falls throughout the day. We normally advise to test early morning, no later than 9am.
Thanks SeasideSusie - apologies for delay replying. I think I may be confusing cortisol levels with thyroid hormones.
The article suggests TSH is highest around 12am & starts to fall from then. Sorry if this sounds stupid but how come people don’t self test then - or maybe they do?
Obvs health clinics aren’t able to offer that but at home...
I’m waiting for my tests to arrive so will have a go then - will post results in due course.
