I have recently found that I need to move from 1000mcg of Methylcobalamin to 3000mcg. So I’m wondering if some kind person could please recommend a good and comfortable brand to use ?

Thank you very much.

Can you not just take more of the one you are currently using?

Hi Susie, well that’s what I have been doing to get rid of ‘pin pricking’, (which I’ve had for a couple of months), using Solgar’s B12 Methylcobalamin..

But Solgar tablets are only 30 tablets in a bottle. So using 3 tablets across the day, soon gets through a bottle and certainly isn’t economical !!!

So I took two in the morning and then some Biocare B 12 Methyl drops in the afternoon. And that seems to have stopped the ‘pin pricking’. However the Biocare drops bottle is quite small and doesn’t seem to last long.

So I felt sure there must be a company that folks use that would be more user friendly ?

But thanks Susie !!!

I've been taking these for a couple of years :

amazon.co.uk/product-review...

I currently take one tablet four times a week.

I also take one tablet per day of Igennus Super B which also has methylcobalamin in.

When last tested my serum B12 was 1460, so was well over the top of the range.

I can't actually afford to get the "best" quality supplements. If money was no object I might go for a more expensive methyl-B12 with different fillers, but at least my current supplement keeps my B12 at a level I'm happy with.

Thanks Humanbean,

I can see that you have been taking 1 tablet of 5000mcg 4 times a week. -

Interesting, - was that pure trial and error? I hadn’t thought of spreading it out like that.

That could help and it would certainly cost less. And if it works for you, then it might be worth a try ? All the supplements that we have to take really do add up, and this does annoy me !

Thank you

Yes, I think it was - and saving money is always helpful since I take lots of supplements. I've found that if I let my B12 drop that I get spots and eczema. So my dose of B12 is aimed at taking enough to avoid that.
