Please can anyone advice what the normal ranges are for thyroid hormones in pregnancy? I believe they're different from the normal ranges...?
I've just had a call from the midwife re my test results (taken at 10 weeks) which are as follows:
TSH <0.03
T4 19.1
T3 5.9
Obviously they're worried because my TSH is too low... which doesn't surprise me at all...I'm prescribed 125mcg thyroxine and increased this to 150mcg when I found I was pregnant, and I self medicate with 12.5mcg of liothyronine which is probably what is surpressing my TSH.
I'm seeing a specialist at the hospital in a few weeks...but the midwife has advised me to call my GP in the meantime, but I don't know whether to as the last thing I need is for my thyroxine to be reduced!!!
I would be glad of confirmation that this TSH is fine for pregnancy (if I understand it I'll be better at convincing the GP/specialist if need be!!)
And any advice or comments on these results would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!!
