Would one consider my ferritin low with these results?
Blood work : Would one consider my ferritin low... - Thyroid UK
Blood work
Definitely too low. Needs to be much higher in order to convert properly. Personally all of the results look low to me.
Thank you for your reply. So the b12 is low also?
Regarding ferritin then , should I be supplementing iron I wonder?
Firstly I'd have a chat with your GP. How are you feeling? Also you probably need a full iron panel.
I asked for full iron but didn’t get it which is annoying because in my last blood test my transferrin saturation was too high so so think I’l have to go back and request more bloods.
She told me my bloods were ok even though my alkaline phosphatase is low which I think indicates malnutrition or low zinc.
I can’t seem to put on weight . I’m waiting for my TPO to come back
Well you're probably in the unusual group then! Most of us are trying to lose weight! GPs generally are rubbish. You could get a medichecks private blood test done.
