Metavive is not NDT, never has claimed to be. It's quite clear on their website that it is a food supplement, a thyroid glandular and there is no declared hormone content. It suits some people but obiously doesn't suit you so you can't claim it's fake as it's not claiming to be NDT.

SvenX, As Metavive does not have a declared thyroid hormone content, the word 'fake' doesn't really seem to be applicable. It is marketed as a 'thyroid glandular', rather than an NDT which is the term used for desiccated thyroid products containing reguated amounts of thyroid hormone. Some people do seem to benefit from taking glandualrs, but others like yourself appear not to.

Thx!

Allright - maybe the wording was to harsh.

Inofficially I thought Metavive is a kind of NDT? That was at least my impression after reading serveral Threads here?

No, whenever that reference is made it's always corrected and made perfectly clear that it doesn't claim to be NDT and doesn't declare any hormone content. As mentioned, some people do well on it, some don't.

Ok, I understand. But what is to expect from this product?

But what is to expect from this product?

As mentioned, some people do well on it, some don't, so no-one can say what to expect or how an individual might benefit or not from it. If it doesn't work for you then at least you've tried it and can move on.

Metavive is not NDT and does not come in grains. It is a non-prescription food supplement and may, or may not, contain any hormone. The manufacturers make that quite clear. How many capsules of which product are you taking and for how long?

Metative 1 up to 10 Pills at once for more then 2 weeks. But guys, there is only one reason why People buying this Product? For „may not“ it‘s to expensive. I just wanted to share my personal experience and was really wondering about the zero effectiveness. I react very profound to straight T3 ...

You, and some other members, have found it to be ineffective.

Some people do well with it.

We are all individual, some people do well with Levothyroxine, some people can't tolerate it at all. For some people NDT works well, for some people it doesn't.

As you seem to do well with T3 then it would seem best to stick with that.

Straight T3 has also some serious Downsides for me that’s why I wanted to try “natural” alternatives. So that means everybody who is in the same Situation should try to get an official NDT Product to find out if it fits “better”. Otherwise you will always ask yourself if it’s working... may not
