This is a strange question and maybe someone has and answer ..... I lost my thyroid almost 4 yrs ago and developed psoriatic arthritis shortly after the thyroidectomy and have been pretty much house bound because of the PSA that has left me overweight and full of cellulite (its horrible) the amount of cellulite I have way more than before thyroidectomy.
I decided to take back my health a few months ago or at least (attempt) anyway so my WEIRD Question is does/can cellulite hurt, I mean tears to your eyes hurt and its not bone pain or even joint pain ... its flat out pain in my cellulite (butt) mostly... I have issues with pain when touched light or hard feels almost like a burning sensation when Im touched.
I feel like I have adhesions (like after major surgery).

Have you considered Cellulitis it's a bacterial infection in the deeper layers of the skin (,treated with antibiotics). Can be painful skin can feel hot & sensitive to touch.
Testing for a particular type of bacteria, reviewing your medical history and visual inspection. Low immune system, low level of exercise/ Mobility can be factors. I'd check with your GP, he may request blood tests.
Obviously, you have looked into this, on the Internet...so apologies for possibly stating the obvious, but I have found a website that states that cellulite can be painful due to a number of reasons, two being water retention, and or, inflammation.
I am new to this forum, well, relatively new, so I am not sure if I am permitted to post the web address? would you like me to PM it to you, just in case it's of some use? It does state that it's not uncommon for cellulite to be painful to the touch.
I hope you get the answers to feel better, and, soon x
Is there a good female doctor that you can go and see, even if you can pay privately? I wouldn't leave this, I would get it checked out.
I hope you can get to the reason behind this, and, find a solution. Look after YOU, because there is only one You, and you deserve to be well, and pain free xx
If you have got cellulitis it is extremely important to get it diagnosed and treated. It can be a precursor to developing sepsis which is a very serious condition.
My mother had cellulitis which developed into sepsis. She was very, very ill indeed and spent many weeks in hospital. I can't remember exactly how long but it was something like 2 - 3 months altogether.
Hi humanbean, I have commented about my extra cellulite that I have acquired since my thyroidectomy but I don’t think it’s cellulitis at least it looks like cellulite...its not red and I have no fever and I only noticed the pain when I was on the ground doing some ab videos although I have very sensitive skin.
