Hello everyone
I know one of the expert admins has posted a complete list of possible symptoms but I can’t seem to locate it through the search facility.
I have had itchy skin on and off for about 2 months and am wondering if it could be hypo symptom - I don’t have any recent bloods to share.
Does anyone have it?
Thanks so much
Polly

Yes it is an annoying symptom.

Thanks. Must admit I’ve never noticed it before nor had I heard it’s a hypo symptom so this is interesting to hear.
Yes it is annoying!

Symptoms are weird. One of mine was a tingling upper lip. It came then it came back and now I am nearly optimally medicated it has gone completely.

Ive had the lip tingles too!

I had a very itchy scalp which was probably because my hair was falling out.

Yes I have that a bit too but it’s mostly the rest of my body.
Thanks

I don't know how old you are, but itchy skin is also a sign of falling oestrogen levels with approaching menopause. The skin is drying out, that's why it itches.

It could be that as I’m 54.
Thank you

I don't know of a list that any of us Admins post but Thyroid UK as a list of signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism here:
thyroiduk.org/signs-symptom...

Thank you so much Seaside Susie
This list looks a bit different to the one I remembered but maybe thyroid uk have changed the format?
Annoyingly itchy skin does not appear!
Thanks very much though

On ThyroidUK's old website it looked like this:
web.archive.org/web/2019122...
although I see Greygoose knows of a different one

Thanks Seaside Susie
I don’t think this is the one I was thinking about either - but it’s entirely possible I’ve imagined it!

I am not an admin - excellent or otherwise (and it would probably be otherwise!) - but I did post this:
healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
Is that the one you're looking for?

There's even two versions of the hypothyroidmom list as well :
hypothyroidmom.com/300-hypo...
I don't think it is any different in content to the earlier list posted by greygoose (although I've never done a line by line comparison), but I posted it just in case it looked familiar to the OP.

Yep you are spot in Grey Goose

Have you changed the brand of your medication recently? Just wondering if it could be an allergy to the fillers?

No change in brand. I too did wonder if it was allergy but from Grey Goode’s post I’m pretty confident it’s just one of the many hundred symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Thank you for the reply though
