Hi, I’m in the process of getting a full test on my thyroid and vitamins. But it just struck me this morning why do I feel ok some days and other days I feel off ‘jittery, nervous’ ??? Does this sound familiar to anyone? Could it be a result of under or over medicated?
Gp results August 2019 TSH 0.39 miu/L (0.27-4.2) T4 25.1 pmol/L (12-22).
Any advice would be great, I want to feel normal again x

It could be either over or under. It may be that you don't convert well and although your FT4 result is over range you may still be low in FT3.
For years my TSH and FT4 results were in range and I was meant to be fine but I knew I wasn't. Some days I would be ok and others I would be anxious. Not that I had anything to be anxious about. For example sitting having lunch in a favourite restaurant with husband an 26 year old son - why would I be on edge?
I now know that I was lacking FT3 and what my body lacked in thyroid hormones it made up for with adrenalin. It was not good.
Now I am on a combo of T4 and T3 and I have had no anxiety for the 9 months I have been on it. My levels are balancing and I am feeling like me a lot of the time.
I would suggest that you get FT3 checked as well and vitamin levels.
Hi... Could i ask when u ssid about having anxiety becsuse of under dosing were u fatiqued or just wired all the time.... I reduced from 75 to 50..felt better but then started anxiety symptoms which may be related or not.... Trying to decide to increase agsin.... Thsnks if u see this
Hi, I was having anxiety due to being overmedicated which was picked up after the private blood test, my TSH was 0.03!!!! I was extremely fatigued, palpitations, anxiety, heat intolerance and many more symptoms. I’m no expert on reading test results so it might be worth posting your latest blood results on here, there are some very knowledgeable people who will help and advise you. I hope this has helped a little if I can help anymore just message me x
Thsnks... My bloods sre ok.... Alwsys are on paper but t3 in lower third... Im not in position to stsrt hunting for t3 ssdly as have othet health isdues.. Ive other things going on but if i could get rid of the anxiety it would be a godsend
Sorry to hear about other health issues, I’m going through the same too. It might be worth posting your results, doesn’t mean you will have to hunt for T3. I found cutting gluten out helped me
It is possible that you are not adequately converting the storage hormone T4 to the active hormone T3 which is required in a constant and sufficient supply by trillions of cells in the body......hence, most likely, your high FT4 and symptoms
High FT4 with low FT3 indicates poor conversion ( but we don't have FT3 yet so impossible to be certain!)
Post the results you are expecting, including ref ranges.
If your nutrients are low, supplement to optimal level.....they support conversion.
Members will then be able to advise on what you should do next....one step at a time!
It may be that you need to add a little T3...but optimise nutrients first
Once your medication is correctly adjusted you should begin to feel better but it takes time and patience.
Hope u see this ad post is old.... Im experiencing anxiety since lowering levo dose... Because i felt ill on 75mg. Which may or not have been levo... However 8 weeks into 50 ive had anxiety.... Again could be other things. But was wondering if my body is starting to use levo too much...or its a symptom of under medication..... Just wondering if you got sorted and what you did
Hi there, I definitely know that me being overmedicated contributed massively to anxiety. In the past 8 months I’ve gone gluten and dairy free, I take daily vitamin D and co factors as my levels were low and feel nearly normal again. It might be worth having a private blood test to see if your thyroid and vitamins are optimal. This was the best £70 I have spent, it got me started to help myself as GP was no help at all!!!!
