Best hypertension drug or any other to overcome thyroid storm/ thyroitoxicosis.

Hi Everyone,

I have been on 125mcg Levothyroxine for some time with my test results t3,t4 and tsh within optimal level. my Vit d, B12, Ferritin and iron are at optimal levels. But recently, i experienced occassional thyroid storm or Thyroitoxicosis. My BP and pulse is high. I am currently on Amplodopine / lisinospril. what can you suggest?

I'm not sure what anyone can suggest other than to discuss with your doctor and see what he suggests. None of us here are medically trained. Amlodipine and lisinospril are just two blood pressure medications, if you think they're not right for you then see if your GP can suggest an alternative.

Why do you think you're having thyroid storm/thyrotoxicosis? They're not normally things that come and go. And hypertension drugs are not a treatment for thyroid storm, anyway. Do you have labs done when you feel like this?
