I was still feeling symptomatic on 225mcg levo (TSH just over 3 from memory, done at GPs so no other tests). GP (who is great) was happy for me to try 250. I've just done medichecks test to keep an eye on it and it's the below:
TSH 0.013 (0.27-4.2)
Free T3 5.57 (3.1-6.8)
Free Thyroxine 22.2 (12-22)
I'm assuming I'm overmedicated but do feel fine - maybe a bit more snappy than usual but putting that down to combining full-time work/childcare ;).
I was going to drop the dose back to 225 on alternative days and retest in 8 weeks - does that sound sensible? I'd happily discuss with doc but not keen to go in at the mo. And wondering if the tests indicate anything else to those of you with much more knowledge than me
You don't look over medicated to me and if you feel ok I wouldn't reduce the dose. My T4 is 22 at the moment and I feel really well even though I am not taking any NDT. Some of us with thyroid disease feel better with our levels at the top of the range and I am one of them.
Tilly The important result is the FT3 and it is not over range. Low FT3 causes a lot of symptoms.
If you are well on these results I wouldn't change anything. You obviously need FT4 to be high to give an acceptable level of FT3. Yes your TSH is low but that is because your frees are well up in their ranges.
