Well, apart from doing a good impersonation of the lovely ICI Dog, I shall now be concentrating my efforts on a higher bar.... I'm going for that excellent look as portrayed by cousin IT from the Adams Family!

We laugh to laugh....or we cry!

Resist the temptation of those scissors that are winking at you! You might regret it!

Best Thoughts to All.

Stay well if hirsute!!

Humph. So where are all those MPs we see on TV getting their hair cut? I think they are breaking social distancing guidelines - they can't all have spouses who are hairdressers.

They are all Androids! There is a knob you just wind backwards and it retracts their hair!!!!

Yes, I remember Tressie - much more fun than Barbie (although I had a Sindy)

I have noticed that a lot of them are balding so their wives won't have too much trouble cutting a few little tufts!

Have seen a few male politicians on television who very obviously have not recently had their hair cut.

Which ones? Matt Hancock looks like his hair has been trimmed recently ... well the bit of hair he has left.

I rarely watch the news but have seen Starmer, Raab, Hancock and Sturgeon recently and they all have neat hair - not something that hasn't been tended for 6 weeks. Only Bojo looks unkempt - but that's normal for him.

I agree!!!

I have noticed a lot of women with grey roots when I am driving and I am one of them! I can disguise it at the moment with a spray but by the time July arrives I will have to spray the top of my head instead of just the hair parting.

A neighbour has taken to wearing a baseball cap to hide hers!

I don't think a baseball cap would suit me lol I do have a large straw hat but I usually wear it on the beach so it might look a bit odd if I wear it for doing my tesco shop!

I am already looking to buy some hair colour and do my own roots. My daughter got sent a kit by her hairdresser to do her own roots but mine has put don't attempt to colour your own hair on her website. There is no way I am waiting for July to get my hair done and I will do my research and have a go myself.

I didn't realise thyroid patients cut their hair, i thought you just wait for it to fall out again ..... have i been doing it wrong ?

Och... Do I detect a wee pinch o' Scots humour there!? Ah, we all need a bit of black humour these days Bogle!

Of course it could be mercury poisoning due to our polluted environment!!

No Poppy, i'm just a 'wannabe' Scot! . I was given it for a nickname as a baby, by a Scotsman. Although come to think of it , it was in reference to my hair at the time which allegedly looked like a coconut.

I was about 28 when i found out what it meant , from a book in the library of an old house in Galloway,

As you can imagine, i was delighted with the compliment !

Superb!!!

Aye, that's 'Gallus'!!!!

And I've got the mug to prove it!!

A very good Scots friend who does the most incredible impersonation of 007 Sean Connery... presented me with the mug as a gift...

It means; cheeky, daring, reckless!

Word origin of "gallus"...

a variant of gallows used as an adjective, meaning fit for the gallows

Pretty much sums it up really!

Take Cake as well as Care!

We shall all look like Cousin IT by the time July comes!!

Blow hairdressers, I can cope, I just want dog groomers to be able to start again. My poor dog's coat grows like a weed and she has it cut every 5 weeks, it's now been 11 weeks since her last groom. I tried to clip her long claws and ended up cutting the quick resulting in a mini blood bath, I daren't attempt to cut her hair 🤕 😱

🙄... It's very hard poor wee things...they are suffering too..

Dog groomers?! I am sure you could give her a quick haircut because I do trim my cat who is a ragdoll and sometimes looks a bit scruffy. I even have to trim his feet because the fur grows between his toes lol.

Not a chance. My breed apparently has the most difficult coat to groom and, of course, every dog with a hair bearing coat has it's own specific style even with a pet cut.

Some people can do it, some can't. My friend grooms her Llasa Apso and makes a good job, I can't even trim her ears to look decent so I certainly wouldn't risk anything else.

Plus, past experience tells me that me, dog and scissors just aren't a good mix.

Anyway, dog groomer is now reopening on 1st June and she's booked in for the 3rd :)

I wish my hairdresser was opening but she tells me the 7th July is the earliest she can do my hair!

Make an appointment as soon as you can because when they do reopen there will be a queue around the block and beyond! 😱

I'm already booked for the 7th... If I get there that is...as I might just grab hold of my pattern cutting scissors and gave a go myself!!!
