Cytomel?

I’m cross posting for information. My labs. I’m 70.

5/6. 1/20

Tsh 20.1 3.23. (.34-4.82)

Ft3. 3.1. 3.9. (2.3-4.2)

Ft4. .84. 1.18. (.26-1.8)

Tgab. 301. 321 (until January for years over range)

Tpo ab. 766. 1602 (the first time it reported actual #. Previous all reported >1000)

Since January, I’ve had positive lab results for uti for January, February, March and May. Was finally referred to urology.

Thyroid: I feel fine.

Uti minimal/interesting symptoms-no burning/discomfort.

Full blood work up this month.

Doc is rxing cytomel for low total 3 but has said nothing about levo. I can have some pretty wonky thyroid labs. I was under the impression that cytomel is used when there is a conversion problem not to increase total 3. I’ve read that total t3 can be low if one has been ill for a period of time. Would 4 uti’s in 4 months qualify?

I’m in the USA.
