Hi everyone. I’m try to find out some information regarding remission and reoccurrence rates for hyperthyroidism. I’m lucky enough to have been well and euthyroid without any therapy for over 10 years following a 18 month course of Carbimazole. I’ve had an application to join the Army Reserve turned down due to high reoccurrence rates following treatment with Carbimazole, 36% chance within 2 years of finishing medication was the stats provided back to me. Obviously my course was a lot longer ago than 2 years so was wondering if my percentage chance has decreased. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
