I would like to lower my Levothyroxine dose and add some of the T4 drops as it doesn't have the fillers like corn and Lactose which are problematic for me Has anyone else used it and what is your experience? Thanks

It also doesn't have the Levothyroxine (T4)!

It appears to be sold as a homoeopathic remedy. Which, as I understand, are based on ultra-diluted substances. In which case there will be no detectable levothyroxine in it.

Many homoeopathic references clearly say that homoeopathic remdies do not and cannot provide the thyroid hormone you need.

But from what I have found so far, none of the information tells what they do actually contain!

Another company which offers homoeopathic remedies expressly says:

Made from lactose/sucrose and are tablet shaped. 9 per gram (approx) diameter 6.5mm.

So you might not be getting away from the lactose you are trying to get away from!

That was my impression, too. On one site I found it said that ingredients could change from time to time!

Why do you want to lower your levothyroxine dose? It's a hormone that you need to keep you alive, and your quality of life can be badly affected if your body doesn't get the right amount. You can't replace it with some weird alternative remedy.

I used a homeopathic product for more than 10 years and was doing well. When I moved to the USA was forced to go onto Synthroid or the doctors wouldn't have me as a patient. It has been hell since then. I have Histamine related conditions and corn, Lactose and acacia all are problematic for me. I used to get injections from a homeopathic Homeotoxicologist in South Africa and Hong Kong. I lived in both countries. I am not doing well on Synthroid at all. Armour thyroid is also not working for me

I understand not being able to tolerate certain thyroid meds. Lots of us have the same problem. I would just keep searching for one that suits you, there are other NDT and levo brands to try. If your thyroid can't produce what you need, a homeopathic remedy won't either because it isn't a hormone.

I'm sorry your still not feeling well .Many have issues with Synthroid as I did as well because of the filler it contains . I experienced many symptoms with Synthroid including palpitations anxiety, insomnia etc. Ask your Dr to switch you to Levoxyl or Tirosint . Tirosint has no fillers at all and is very potent so you might need a bit lower dose.

Best Wishes for better days ahead.

Thanks you meant Tirosint-Sol. I was on it for a year. It has glycerol and the gel caps have pork gelatin both trigger Histamine and Mast Cell activation. Had constant rashes and dropped from 109 pounds to 96

Have you thought about getting your levo through a specials compounding pharmacy? They should be able to make something up to suit your specific needs.

Compounder where I am says each batch has a different form of Cellulose as it depends on what their buyer gets at the time. Gelatin also triggers histamine and mast cell activation. Acacia also triggers rashes due to its histamine liberating ingredients. They don't have Olive oil as a choice. Am searching for an online compounder in the USA or maybe I can use a glandular

It is not essential to use cellulose at all.

Surprised they didn't identify that other substances can be used. Such as acidophilus.

I know they are a small family apothecary

Is acidophilus not a fermented product. Then also a Histamine. How consistent would a compounded product because they don't have equipment that ensure that each batch is the same? Even the fillers they.use will differ from batch to batch

Afraid I have no personal experience of any sort of compounded pharmacy.

You would have to discuss with the company what options they have and how consistent they are.

I have no idea whatsoever about histamine and acidophilus - all I was trying to do was point out that cellulose, and worse, different celluloses, are not the only option.
