Hello everyone. I don’t know if anyone can help me I’ve been taking Erfa thyroid for 8 years now. Successfully eradicated all symptoms and am very well. It was prescribed under the NHS by my GP. Recently I’ve moved address and the new GP has referred me to an endo who has today said she won’t prescribed my tablets anymore. Same thing is happening to my 8 year old daughter. Can anyone advise what I can do from here please. I am besides myself with worry

It is rare for an NHS doctor to prescribe Erfa or any other natural desiccated thyroid. I get mine by private prescription and obviously it’s not cheap. I believe Helvella (admin) did once have a list of NHS doctors who prescribe NDT. It may well have changed now. Alternatively, admin have a list of doctors who prescribe it - privately. I hope I’m right with this information.
I would be very grateful if you can write to me privately with information about where you obtain it privately and the cost etc would be wonderful if you could do that. Jen x
