NDT with low blood pressure

Is NDT safe to take with low blood pressure? I am seeing my doc soon but I thought I would ask here in case I cant get ndt on prescription. I am not taking any meds for my blood pressure at present

As far as I know it's safe. And, as your thyroid hormones rise, so should your blood pressure. Low blood pressure is a hypo symptom.

thanks, yeah i do believe my low blood pressure is caused by thyroid but i read this online from broda barnes and was wondering if there are any risks with taking it

e routinely prescribed an accompanying dose of the synthetic corticosteroid prednisone. Barnes argued that it was mandatory to give prednisone to patients with a systolic blood pressure below 100.[3][5]

I haven't read Barnes for a long time, so don't remember that. But, I doubt if that happens very often with current GP knowledge of thyroid! Doubt if any of them have read Barnes.

i read some of barnes book recently and found it quite a good read, however i am at a loss with what he writes regarding blood pressure
