Thyroid doses before blood draw

Hi

I have blood tests tomorrow at 8.40 am, for my thyroid and iron panels.

Last T4 dose was 730 am today and I’ve yet to have my 5mcg T3 dose. What time should I take my T3 dose if at all today?

Thanks

Last dose of Levo T3 should be 8-12 hours before blood draw, so as your test is 8.40am then last dose of T3 can be between 8.40pm tonight and 12.40am, so split the difference and maybe go for around 10.30pm tonight.

As for iron panel, you should fast for 12 hours before the blood draw, so don't have anything to eat after 8.40pm tonight, and just some water in the morning (which applies to the thyroid tests as well, of course). Do you take iron supplements? If so then these should have been left off for 7 days. If you take Biotin or a B complex then this should also have been left off for 7 days for any blood test.
