ok following on from previous posts re not being able to get thiroyd and my endo at hospital agreeing to try levo/t3 combo. after six weeks i had same reaction to levo as four years old. i have came off it and feel better. In a quandary as dont know what to do as obviously cant do without meds for long. A friend had the same problem and switched to Eltroxin. I tried at my surgery before but they just kept supplying levo. however, due to the present climate with self isolation etc., i did an e consult online with my gp and lo and behold within 24 hours they said they would send a prescription for Eltroxin to my chemist who would have to order it in. They must be so busy and shot staffed with the CV19 that they just issued it with no consulting!! Here's hoping

Eltroxin is levo. Levothyroxine = T4, the active ingredient in all the synthetic T4-only medications for hypothyroidism. It's the fillers that change.
yes i know its still levo but am hoping that different fillers will help but not holding my breath but have to try. i have not taken my levo for four days now and feel so much better. Bloating was the worse symptom. I will get my Eltroxin tomorrow and so once i have been on it for a few days will be able to guage if it is going to make me feel unwell again. i felt normal on Thiroyd and am gutted that i cannot get it
