Since I was diagnosed my dental health has declined rapidly. To the point I have 6 teeth left at the top and 6 on the bottom... I have been spending £200 to £300 every few months. I have previously been admitted to the dental hospital and I have major issues with weak and broken teeth, decay, gum issues, infection after infection... I have tried everything to keep my teeth but Im still losing them... I have been told it is because of the thyroid disease and medication. Im currently on my 4th course of abx following an incomplete/botched extraction! Two teeth needed to come out as an absess had formed. The teeth crumbled and she couldnt get the roots out.. so she left the infected roots insitu and said the infection would clear and my gum would heal over... but Im now very unwell... I have been taking the abx precribed but the infection is still there, the gums are red, swollen and extremely painful... today I have not been able to eat... I am shaking, the kind where it feels your organs are shaking and I have a low temp... all signs of sepsis. My dentist said she cant see me now because of the Covid19 problem so I cant do anything.
Any advice please?

I think you need to speak to your GP or phone 111 re possible sepsis as soon as possible. Your dentist sounds utterly dreadful and you need to change dentist as soon a possible. You should have been sent to a dental hospital when she made a mess of removing your teeth and I wonder if the reason you weren't might be because she had done such a bad job she did not want another dentist to see it. It sounds like you have a very nasty infection in your mouth that has been spreading around your teeth (maybe with this dentists help). Have you had any swabs taken to identify the bacteria causing this? In the mean time you need to gargle with salt water( sea salt is best) every hour or so I would suggest. If you are on carbimazole it can reduce your white blood cells and leave you more prone to infection but this tends to be very rare. Please dont feel reluctant to ask for help due to this virus going about. You sound very poorly and do need to be seen. Does your local dental hospital do a drop in? as this might be another option.
The first thing is to ask for some antibiotics to be prescribed to tide you over. My dental practice can still do that as my routine appt. was cancelled and the receptionist said they're still available for triage. It is important you don't end up in hospital with sepsis.
Grave's is a very nutrient hungry illness and one of the things you need much much more of is vitamin C. This is vital for gum health (think scurvy in sailors). Recent news from China is that IV vitamin C is a mitigating agent against Covid-19 and septic shock. Dr Sarah Myhill recommends large doses to kill pathogens. You can buy ascorbic acid in bulk as a powder. It is even more effective long term if taken in a more natural form with bioflavanoids. The problem with vitamin C is it's acid, so not terribly kind to teeth when in direct contact.
My teeth and bone health have improved with vitamin K2, vitamin D and Magnesium. Magnesium levels can be extremely low indeed in Grave's and it's vital to keep your heart healthy and prevent arrhythmias. Magnesium keeps our bones tough rather than brittle. It also activates vitamin D which, in turn improves Calcium absorption. A diet high in Calcium but low in Magnesium and Vitamin D and K2 will make our bone and heart health worse. Lots of advice on here about vitamin D, but it'd be worth knowing your levels by ordering a self test kit.
Another extremely useful supplement is co-enzyme Q10 which can be very low in Grave's. It can improve gum and heart health and it is vital for energy levels.
Finally, you may be surprised, but b12 and folate are also vital to forming strong bones. These b vitamins can be low in Grave's as you're metabolising nutrients at a pace. It is possible also to have comorbid conditions like PA with Graves disease, so you must check your bloods included these nutrient tests.
