Help with dose with pm blood test please

I arranged an 8.30am blood test for the 19th March. The surgery rang n cancelled as With the Corona virus it was none urgent. They then sent me a letter dated 19th to say I needed a blood test.

When I rang they said I had to have thyroid blood test. I asked for early morning but was told I had no choice but 3 .30pm.

How should I arrange taking T4.& .T.3

I take 100 T4 and 20 T3 at 5.30 am and about 5 T3 at 8 pm

So you need to adjust timings of last levothyroxine dose to be 24 hours before blood test

And last dose T3 roughly 8-12 hours prior to blood test

As TSH is almost always suppressed on T3 ...the difference between morning and pm appointment may not be that significant

But NHS rarely test Ft4 or Ft3. Obviously both these need testing at every test

You are likely to need to test privately

Are you regularly testing vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

I'm lucky I've got a new young GP who is really interested so does full tests.

Have a private test waiting to use but in isolation and nurse friend busy with virus .....
