Would any of you kindly recommend an Endocrinologist based in the North East of England who is open minded to consider the patients symptoms and not merely the numbers provided by bloods.
I have sufffered from hypothyroid symptoms for quite some time despite normal bloods and I am suffering frequent crashes and therefore am working on the basis that I have underlying adrenal issues.
I would greatly appreciate any recommendations by pm if possible.
Yours
HV

My own opinion: look further afield if you possibly can.
LindaC or Angel_of_the_North might be able to tell you who is the least-worst person to see in the Newcastle/Gateshead area, but I doubt it.
I've not heard of anyone decent in my neck of the woods (Durham Dales), < doctor recommendation removed by Admin >
I don't know anything about the endos at Sunderland, but I think they may come out from the N'cle hospitals, in which case, avoid. I have no information about Teesside endos.
You could email Dionne at TUK for the list of endos people have found helpful: tukadmin@thyroiduk.org
Thanks for your response, much appreciated. I am more than willing to travel further afield. I have a list from Thyroid.uk but am unsure what to do hence my asking for recommendations here.
It seems as if seeing an endocrinologist is a little bit of a lottery and after feeling so low for so long, I don’t want to go through the time consuming and costly process of trying to find someone who will look at my scenario holistically and not simply on what appears to be satisfactory bloods.
If anyone could recommend a northern endocrinologist on that list then I would be most welcome.
