Throat
Do you have a goitre?
Could it be possible that you have an ENT infection? That makes swallowing seem louder to me if my ears are blocked. I put olive oil then cotton wool in my ear. If it’s painful, I add a single drop of lavender oil to half a teaspoon of olive oil.
Just wondering if you’re drinking plenty & thoroughly chewing food.
I had a lot of issues with my throat and swallowing. I had ultrasounds which showed my thyroid was inflamed due to thyroiditis over a period of 2 years.
I eventually went on T3 after 12 months and my symptoms improved but it took 2 1/2 years for my thyroid to be suppressed and my immune system to stop attacking it.
Have you had any ultrasounds? My first one was organised by my GP then following seeing and Endo he arranged one. Plus a X-ray with a barium swallow I think it was called and a camera down when I was really struggling swallowing. All confirmed thyroiditis ☹️
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Ask GP to test vitamin levels and thyroid including thyroid antibodies
You may need to get full Thyroid testing privately as NHS refuses to test TG antibodies if TPO antibodies are negative
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
If on levothyroxine.....Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies

For thyroid including antibodies and vitamins
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
If you can get GP to test vitamins and antibodies then cheapest option for just TSH, FT4 and FT3 £29 (via NHS private service )
